Fan Friday #8

Today’s post features an app that has made my life just that much less stressful. It is an app that if you don’t have it, well, you really, really need to get it.

Fan Friday Presents…Dropbox!

Dropbox is an app that you can download to all of your devices and it syncs to “the cloud” (also known as the internet). On your desktop, it acts just like a regular folder, and your files are available whether you’re online or not. On your phone, it’s an excellent way to quickly read that pdf you saved from your desktop, or perhaps save that pdf for easier reading on your desktop.

One of the best parts about it is that you can share folders with other user accounts. Which means that me and my fiance can always access our wedding-related documents, no matter where we are or what device we are on. Handy, no?

What’s your favourite keep-organized app?

  1. Dropbox is awesome! We actually just started using google drive and that’s been pretty great too. I have the app on my phone and it’s on both my personal and work computers so I know that everything is backed up and accessible. My biggest fear right now is that my laptop will die (it’s been showing signs) and we’ll lose all of our wedding documents! So I’ve been a back-up maniac!

    • That is the advantage of dropbox is that everything is backed up to the cloud. So if a laptop does die (like my partner’s did last weekend), everything was fully backed up to the cloud as well as my computer since the wedding folder was shared. I have heard good things about Google Drive, so I will check it out sometime 🙂
